SkillPort
Login to SkillPort with your NinerNET User Name and password at https://ninernet.uncc.edu/tools/skillport. You can access SkillPort from a PC web browser or from Safari on the Mac.
When you login to SkillPort, you can access over 2,600 courses, simulations, express guides, test prep exams, mentoring, skill briefs and job aids. SkillPort offers a variety of learning resources designed to meet a wide range of learning needs.
Books 24x7
After you login to SkillPort, you also get access to Books 24x7 IT Pro Library which offers full contents of premium reference books, reports, vendor documents and white papers for information technology professionals.
Books include: Blackberry for Dummies, You Tube for Dummies, Windows Vista Secrets, Facebook Application Development, Adobe CS3 Bible and hundreds of other titles.
Personal Folders
Create personal folders to organize titles that meet your needs. You'll be able to quickly retrieve them from your home page.
- Use the Manage Folder icon on your home page to setup, rename or delete personal folders.
- Look for the folder icon on any title or content page to quickly and easily add the title to an existing personal folder or to create a new folder.
Bookmarks & Notes
Use bookmarks to mark your place or important sections within a title and you can include notes for personal reference.
Two bookmark options are available on any content page.
- Use the simple bookmark icon to quickly mark your place without leaving the content page. If the title is not already in a personal folder, this will automatically store it in the ‘default’ folder.
- Use the bookmark with notes icon to add a personal note to your bookmark. If the title is not already in a personal folder, you can either create a new folder or you can select from existing folders.
