How to Get Help
Visit the Student Computing Help Center in Barnard or call 704-687-6400. You can also submit your question to the HelpDesk Online and track the status.

Located in Barnard 109, the Student Computing Help Center is staffed by Technical Assistants who can help with
49er Express, NinerNET, e-Learning tools, University network login, printing and copying and answer technical questions about using Student Computing lab software. TAs are available to assist students with technical problems in the Student Computing labs and in the Help Center in Barnard.

Direct Access
49er Express provides simple and convenient access to University services, however there are times when the system may be unavailable due to scheduled updates or unexpected outages.
The following services have "Direct Access" links, so if they are not impacted by an outage, you can login to these services outside of 49er Express.
Residential Housing & Internet Access
Residence halls and apartment villages receive Internet access via Road Runner. Get more information about Road Runner at UNC Charlotte. Wireless access is not available in residential housing.
Road Runner support is available in the UNC Charlotte Time Warner office, located on the right side of Maple Hall, near the Community Room. You can call, email or visit to get assistance.
e-Learning
The Center for Teaching and Learning provides tools for e-Learning, including Blackboard Vista and Moodle, the online course management systems, and Centra, the virtual classroom environment.

Assistive Technology
Student Computing works with the Office of Disability Services to provide assistive technology that can make technology more accessible for students. Equipment and software is available to assist students with vision or hearing impairments, motor or orthopedic impairments or learning disabilities.
